Halifax, NS Marg Manias, CHS, LTCIS, EPC joined the insurance business in 1980 and as a successful agent subsequently, due to her keen interest in income replacement, joined a large Canadian Insurer as Director of Training & Development. Marg then continued her career at another company in 1990 first as Marketing Director and, subsequently, as VP of Disability Sales for Canada. Marg has crossed the country speaking at ADVOCIS Sales Congresses, industry events and annual meetings on living benefits (disability insurance, critical illness and long term care). She has been on the faculty of ADVOCIS Marketing Schools held at Whistler, Banff, Manitoba, Waterloo and Dalhousie Universities. She is the past chair of the National Association of Health Underwriters/LUA education committee designing the Registered Health Underwriters course and study material, and was also the Canadian Commissioner of CHS. Marg operated her own firm, Manias McKee & Associates Financial Inc. in which she was senior partner, concentrating largely on personal production as well as training, development and the producing of marketing materials focusing on today’s “Living Benefits” for insurance companies, brokerage houses and individual agents across Canada and the US. Currently, Marg holds the position of Vice-President - Atlantic Region with Investment Planning Counsel and operates from her Halifax office. Marg is also the Dean of Education for the CARP Approved Advisors Training program. A dynamic speaker/trainer with much personal experience concerning the devastating costs of disability within families and business, Marg has broadened her engagements to include business organizations and professional association groups.
